If the field stays intact, this race should set up for stretch runners. #1 Runabout and #3 O Shea Can U See are the beneficiaries.

Delaware Race 1:

Pace Forecast: -15.0

Most Likely Leaders: #4, #1

#1 Chiefs Kingdom may get the top in a sprint lacking much early speed.  We’re a bit concerned with the rail draw, but 8 wins & 22 of 34 in the money are feathers in her cap. Maybe this one helps reeling Chiefs fans?

Gulfstream Park Race 4:

Pace Forecast: +17.3

Most Likely Leader: #2

There’s lots of speed signed on to this route on synthetic, and #3 Uncle Armando may benefit the most after shipping back from Virginia.

Hawthorne Race 7:

Pace Forecast: +34.0

Most Likely Leaders: #2, #4

#3 McMoney has shown the ability to pass runners, and he did so without the benefit of a hot pace.  The price should be right given the step up from MCL company.

Keeneland Race 6:

Pace Forecast: +25.0

Most Likely Leader: #2

The pace should be pretty hot, and #5 Sparkle of Hope almost got up in her last despite a dawdling pace.

Woodbine Race 4:

Pace Forecast: +35.0

Most Likely Leader: #2, #8

We forecast a pace that favors stretch runners, and #3 Gozilla has faced moderately or severely speed-favoring race shapes in each of her last four races.  Note the trainer’s stats first off a claim.

We have no pace forecast due to the presence of first-timers, but #4 Prince of Roses battled on the front end in a race at CD that favored stretch runners.

Keeneland Race 4:

Pace Forecast: +8.7

Most Likely Leaders: #7, #6

We forecast a neutral pace, but that would be an improvement for #6 Treasury.  Both of his last two favored stretch runners and he figures to offer value today.

Keeneland Race 7:

Pace Forecast: +35.0

Most Likely Leader: #3

The pace should be fast, and #1 Flown closed strongly into a speed-favoring pace in her latest.  The day’s best bet (note cold barn, however). #10 Champagne Lady is a stalk-and-pounce chance here.

Most Likely Leader: #6

Another hot pace is forecasted, but that’s gonna change if the AE’s don’t get in.  Check back after scratches to see if it stays that way.

Most Likely Leader: #3

The pace should be at least moderately stretch runner favoring, and #9 Grand Entrance closed into a modest pace at Aqueduct.

The pace is predicted to be very hot, which should improve the chances of #3 Querobin Dourada (15/1), #9 Thundering Creed (12/1), and #11 Brooke Marie (8/1).  Bombs away?

Keeneland Race 9:

Pace Forecast: none

Most Likely Leader: ?

We have no pace forecast due to the presence of the first-timers, but #2 Botanical had little chance in her speed favoring KD debut. #10 Audaciousness made a decent rally into a modestly speed favoring KD MSW.

Most Likely Leader: #8 

#8 Curly Larry and Mo has battled in two very tough races for speed of late.  Assuming the AE’s don’t get in, we forecast a neutral pace today.

Keeneland Race 3:

Pace Forecast: +12.1

Most Likely Leaders: #5

The pace should be a bit hotter than average, and #2 Forever Home closed into a slightly speed-favoring race in her latest.  (Doubles her claiming price.)

Keeneland Race 8:

Pace Forecast: -5.2

Most Likely Leader: #7

#7 Rockie Causeway seems to be the controlling speed in here, and the turn back in distance can only help. She’s also taking on a field of 3YO fillies.

Keeneland Race 9:

Pace Forecast: none

Most Likely Leader: ?

Both #2 Gina Romantica and #3 She’s Gone closed into speed-favoring races in their latest efforts.  The latter gets the nod: she hasn’t gotten a stretch runner favoring pace this year and the 30/1 morning line may hold up given the major jump in class.

There’s no ThoroPACE Forecast for this race due to the European import. That said, it appears that she may add to the pace which only benefits the pair above.

The pace is projected to be neutral, but that would be a big improvement for #1 L. A. Star, who has closed into two very speed-favoring races this September.

Keeneland Race 5:

Pace Forecast: +27.0

Most Likely Leaders: #4

The pace should be swift, and that would be of great benefit to #2 Three Tipsy Chix, #11 Chione, and #12 Queen Judith.

Keeneland Race 6:

Pace Forecast: +12.7

Most Likely Leader: #4

The anticipated quicker-than-average pace should benefit Iowa shipper #2 Knocker Down.

Keeneland Race 8:

Pace Forecast: +22.3

Most Likely Leader: #12

#4 Overbore closed considerable ground at Saratoga despite a speed-favoring pace and the absence of a whip.  Today’s pace should make things easier for this stakes-winning gelding.
